PNG with Alpha on HD1010

I'm trying to use a PNG image with alpha - exported the image with Photoshop CS3/CS4/CS5 and gimp - the alpha is always shown BLACK instead of transparent. The image is a standard PNG24. Any ideas how to get this workin' 1 Cheers
