brightauthor doesn't play 720 x 576 (16:9)

Hi I have a mpg file, 720 x 576(16:9) 25 fps which scale's up fine when played on a HD monitor. If I put the file without any scripts on an sd card (on a ROKU HD210 on VGA). But when I use brightauthor (v2.0.0.42) and set it to 1360 x 768 VGA, scale to fill. The published files don't fill the screen when played on the same configuration (HD210 on VGA to HD monitor). I tried differen settings and even tried configuring the xml files manually, with no succes. How can I configure brightauthor to play this full screen? regards Paul

    Most likely when you put it on a flash card by itself, the screen didn't automatically pick 1360x768. If you picked scale to file, under zone properties, it should definitely scale to fill.

    Can you upload the video for me to test?

    Hi Lyndon Thanks for the reply. I tried some other things without success. On http://web.me.com/virtualcircus/filechute/Pauze_Paul%20van%20Loon-KBM.zip you can find a mpg file with transport stream that has the same problem. Without anything added it plays nice, exported from brightauthor it doesn' t fill. Even if the zone properties are set to "scale to fill". Hope you can solve this, thanks in advance regards Paul

    Wij zijn de distributeur van BrightSigns in de Benelux.
    Are you using a HDMI and VGA cable together on the unit?
    Probably your input source of your monitor is selected wrong.

    If the "inputsource" on the monitor is wrong, how can it be that it play's correctly if the videofile is running from a sd-card without any script??
    An there is only a vga cable attached.

    Hi

    Finally found out whats wrong. It has to do with installing an update of brightauthor "over" an older one. Probably some files are not removed.
    Anyhow it would be nice if you fix the installer/uninstaller or warn for this.

    I don't understand what you mean.

    What exactly was the problem? What version did you install, and what did you install it over? Most customer install over the old version, and I do that as well, but hadn't seen this issue. Why do you think it's the installer that caused the problem?

    Hi Lyndon

    I installed the latest version (2.0.042) on top of an older (can't remember which one). When the trouble began.
    I couldn't get a mpg file (720 x 576 ) playing fullscreen if I used brightauthor.  Yesterday I asked a colleague to try it with the same files on an other computer, and he had no trouble.
    Then uninstalled brightautor, an installed it again and it worked !!
