best model for sync project?

I'm wondering what the best hardware option for syncing multiple displays with looping files. I would need to be able to work with H264 streams larger than 4GB. Can these units play cards formatted HFS+ 1 I prefer this format as I am Mac based and wish to keep the entire workflow on a Mac. The HD210 seems like the best option, but I like the idea of being able to start and stop the loop with a button press and the lack of GPIO seems to make this impossible with the 210. Would this option require a script to run off an HSF+ formatted card or can BrightAuthor be used? The 410 has no Ethernet connection, but I assume it can be made to sync with GPIO commands as well as added start/stop control through GPIO. Can this be done with a csv file or script only? Again HSF+ card. And finally, the possibility of using a HD1010 as a master syncing through Ethernet to HD210 slaves and triggering the master with GPIO. Is this possible? Is there any difference in performance or reliability between GPIO sync and Ethernet sync? What is the best container for sync applications, .ts, .mp4, .mov?

I don't know if much of any testing has been done with hfs+ but it is supposed to be supported.

If you need button control, you should use a 1010 on the master unit, and you can use a 210 for the slave unit. To sync over gpio, you need to wire custom cables, and you can't use the brightauthor software to do it. Otherwise, it works the same.

If you're using firmware 3.5, we support h.264 mov and mp4s. We support up to level 4.1, with aac for audio. Max bitrate is 25mbps.

For the 410, you must use a script to sync.
