PAL 576i

I red on the changelog of the latest firmware that in release version 3.3.78 576i has been implemented:

Support for various SD (480i and 576i) modes output as composite and S-Video via the component RCA connectors or VGA connector (ntsc-m, ntsc-m-jpn, pal-I, pal-bg, pal-n, pal-nc, pal-m, and secam) using scripts

BTW it's working only with scripts and not with Bright Author, but is it possible to manually edit the script created by Bright Author and change from 720x576x50p to 720x576x50i? And will it work in VGA mode? Or you mean that it will work in component with a VGA-to-BNC connector from the VGA out of Roku to BNC component video in of a display? Thanks, Luca.

    Hi Luca,

I've been wondering the same - just discovered (trial & error!) that if you've got an autoplay.xml file from BrightAuthor you can just edit the settings there:

       <videoMode>pal-bg</videoMode>
       <videoConnector>Component</videoConnector>

gave me PAL out of the centre (Pb) component output of an HD1010.

Probably best to build the project as a component 720x576x50p presentation first (I converted mine from a VGA project, but I knew the media was 720p.)

    Hope that helps.

    Sean
