Losing current-sync after publish



Hi, We have been using BrightSign and BrightAuthor for the last couple years without incident. In the last couple days however, when we publish a content update, the current-sync.xml file disappears from the published files. This causes the same file to disappear from the BrightSign unit, which ultimately stops its ability to know where to ping our HTTP file server (HFS). We are using HD1010 BrightSign Units. We are running 3.7.44 firmware. BrightAuthor is older at version 2.0.0.42. We have been reluctant to upgrade since this version was fairly stable and our last version upgrade was quite painful. Any ideas?

    I've never heard of this. Is the file not actually published? Or, you see it published, but it doesn't download to the player? Is the file missing from the webserver?

    Nothing in the firmware would affect how brightauthor works. Did you recently make any changes that coincide with the problems?
