How to enable the Ethernet Port?

I would use the Brightsign in Digital Signage and Kiosks if the Ethernet port was enabled. When will the software be updated to enable the ethernet connections? Dates & Timescales please

    Software to enable the ethernet port is currently expected towards the end of Q1 of 2007.

    We dropped plans to support Ethernet on the HD600.   Instead we are adding support for the HD2000 ethernet port, early this year.  If you are interested in early access to help test it, send an email to lyndon:  lallydice  AT rokulabs.com

    I am trying to find out if the ethernet on the HD 2000 will allow streaming from a server; aswell I would like to be able to push content to the card and leave the device alone for ever more ( or until the marketing people want to change content........again

    Nigel,



    The initial network software release will have support for updating content on the unit remotely. So, the unit will be able to connect to server, and download content.



    I don't have any information on the ability to stream content.

    excellent.  I was hoping that it would be able to stream live content, but pushing to the card is still excellent.

    Any update on this release time schedule??

    Eventually we want to stream as well, but it won't be in the first release.  I am hesitant to give out any more dates than we have already since they could change.

    You dropped Support on the HD600?  That doesn't seem fair considering that when it was sold to me it was a promised feature....When I bought this it was an advertised feature set that was to be patched in....



    I HATE climbing up a ladder every time I want to change some info...I would have just found another solution if I would have known that ethernet was not an option........

    Why did Roku abandon network capabilities on HD600?  We have quite a few of these units now and our plans were to update them periodically by network.  What can we do now???
