SCRIPTING

hello,
I have a bright sign and want to get the most out of it.
I am looking for a good "teach yourself" scripting book; basic to intermediate skill set.
I have had some experience with java script whilst at university but could do with brushing up on those skills.
If anyone can point me in the direction of a useful publication I would very much appreciate it.

Thanks
Hajb

    Hi,

I will check and see if there is any recommended reading.

One of the best ways to learn scripting on the brightsign is to look at the autorun.bas script.

One of the great things about the brightsign is that you can complex displays very easily without learning any scripting. If you give us some examples of what you are trying to do with the brightsign, we can show you how to take advantage of the .csv files and the new playlist feature (currently in testing).

With .csv files, you can create interactive displays that accept input from touchscreens, mice, or GPIO input. .csv files make it simple to indicate what content plays when there's input, or when there isn't any input.

    Hi

Will have a look at the autorun.bas script and also the .csv files.

Did you manage to source any recommended reading yet?

    Thanks,

The closest is VBScript.   Here’s an example book.

It's not exactly the same as brighscript, but similar.
