starting/stopping roku HD2000 over a network

Hi

I have a HD2000 to test if we can use it in a current project.
The video (720p) looks good, but we do need to be able to control the player over a network.
One file/player has to be started (no loop).

Is this possible?

Thanks
Paul

How do you set the ip adres of a unit?

can't find that in the documentation, and seems essential for control over a network.

    regards

Do you just need to be able to send commands to the unit? Or, are you looking to update content over the network as well. Please email me at lallydice@roku.com.

You need the 2.x software that's not yet posted on the web, but should be going live today. with that, the unit can get an IP via dhcp, or you can set it manually.

You can also send commands to the unit using UDP. Additionally, with the new software, you cal also use a simple webserver to update content, or try out our managed network solution.
