By default, the HD2000 can handle 6 inputs, and 12 outputs. Can you describe exactly how many outputs and inputs you need? I have someone I can check with to see how we can get more, but it depends on how many inputs and outputs you need.

Lyndon,
We are developing a display which will show the 6 stages of Jellyfish development. The visitor will approach the exhibit which has the attract screen, push one of 5 buttons, and the appropriate video clip plays, then goes back to attract. Also would like both the button and an additional small LED lamp to light up during the duration of the video and go off when video ends and goes back to attact. Can the GPIO handle this? and if you could email a sample .csv file to my email: rsnader@aqua.org that would be great (just don't zip the file or else it will get rejected/removed) thanks

This can be done using an interactive playlist, csv. For the output, each output needs to turn on an led in the button, and a separate light, correct?

Richard,
This csv file plays an attract and 5 videos based on button presses. Each video turns on one led. This is short of what you're looking for where you need two leds for each video that's playing when a button is pressed. I can turn on more than one led per video played, but I believe some intermediate hardware would be required to get the effect you're looking for.
I copied Dick Harkey, at HMS electronics on your problem. He's done a lot of work manipulating output from the Brightsign. His email address is: rharkey@sonic.net.
