How long does an HD2000 firmware upgrade take?

We have just tried upgrading the firmware for our HD2000. It lit up the LEDs on the right side for awhile, kind of like a progress bar. After a minute or so the resolution LEDs started flashing and have done so for about 2 hours. It does not seem right to me. Should I redo the upgrade or let it run overnight?
If it doesn't work can I install the older firmware again?

    The upgrade should take about a minute.



    What lights are flashing? If you startup the unit with no flash card, does it bootup and stop with just the power light on, or do you still get the flashing? What update did you download?
