HD1010 Support for live transport streams

Can the HD1010 play a live transport stream, i.e. not a file saved to the SD card? If so which formats?

Can the HD1010 join a multicast group and play a transport stream?

v3.1.36 Beta Software says it supports H.264 (Mpeg4) Transport Streams.

Are there procedures or sample code for all of the above?

    The units don't support streaming yet. This is planned for later this year, but not yet enabled.

    RTSP streaming is currently in testing and we expect to release updated firmware, most likely 3.x.x that supports streaming. I don't know yet if the accompanying brightauthor 2.3 release will have any streaming component. While release plans often change, this is currently planned for this quarter.

    I don't have an official date yet, but if you want to try it out, you can download firmware 3.7.44, and I can provide directions for testing streaming playback.

    How do I download/install a specific firmware version?  Also, can you send instructions for testing once I install the 3.7.44 firmware?  Thanks very much.
