Brightsign 410 - questions

I have a 40 minute video that needs to play on a Brightsign 410. IThe TS file is about 2.02 GB. Does this exceed the capacity of the player? I have to trigger this file via a contact closure. What are the pin outs on the device and the scripting for that type of need? Finally, the TS file was transfered off of a DVD using "Handbrake". Will this file play on the Brightsign 410 and/or what is the best way to get from a standard DVD to a Brightsign compatable file? Anyone in the LA area that wants to get me up to speed on this would be great.
Thanks.....

A 2GB file will play on the unit. That's not a problem.

For a contact closure, you can find the pinouts for the different "buttons" using the GPIO in the hardware guide.

For the file on the DVD, you should be able to just copy the VOB file from the DVD to your computer. The Brightsign will play that vob file. It's just an MPEG2. So, you don't need to convert it.

You don't need to use any scripting. We're getting ready to post this updated version of BrightAuthor to the beta page:

It supports interactivity, and you can easily setup playback using a contact closure. For example, if you wanted to startup and go to a logo or an attract video, and have a button press trigger this secondary file, I've added a sample project at the location below that does just that.

This project file requires the BrightAuthor version in this post. When you open it, it will ask you to locate the files in the project. I'm going to call the startup image logo.png, and the video, video.mpg. Your file names don't have to match the files in the project. You just have to select which file you want to use instead of the two I used in my project, or you can use two files with the same name.
