We are very interested in the brightsign product but have questions about the BrightAuthor software. The main question we have is if the software can be ran like a power point presentation. Second is if it is easily updateable? We are a training facility and need to list agency logos and training classroom name and numbers.

  Do you mean if you can press a button during playback to transition to another image or video? Can you provide details? You can playback content using an interactive playlist, made in Bright Author, that allows you to change what's playing.
  
  
  
  
  
  The content on the units is easy to update either with a newly published flash card, or over the network.

  In answer to Lyndon needing more detail.  I guess really it would be nice to see a demonstration of the software running.  Also, what we were wanting to do is run a ticker scroll at the bottom (going vertical) showing classes and rm locations.  In the bigger area of the layout showing a map of our facility (switching to a logo then back). and in the smaller squares on the right displaying clock, and other pertinent info.  The most important factor to us is the displaying of the facility map and the class locations.

  You can download the software, but to see projects from it running, you would need to get a unit. We do offer eval units of the two top models at 50% off.
  
  
  
  You can change the orientation of rss feeds to be vertical, but there isn't a lot of formatting control currently in the rss feed. You might have more control by using a program like power point to format the content you want on screen, where you need better text controls. That way, you could have the text formatting you want, over a background image or pattern, and then you can display the final image on the Brightsign.
