I was looking for a video player that would play any format of video. After search around I found this tool which plays all 3 BS required formats ts ,vob or mpg After saving video to Quicktime movie output formats, then convert to the 3 BS formats. I am able to watch all 3 formats as a small check on conversion before adding them to my BS network. I do also check them on the BS test box before publishing. As a video newbie this video player came in handy. At least I can check video and audio post conversion before adding videos to BS persentations. http://www.videolan.org/ Hope this help another newbie....

Media player classic is also a great player, plus it shows a lot of information about the audio and video settings of the file.
If you also want to test out h.264 playback, you can use quicktime pro to save your file as an h.264 mov/mp4 file, and then use tsmuxer to change the encapsulation from mov/mp4 to ts. The change only takes a few seconds since it's not actually re-encoding the file.
