Checking Other 30 Sec video clip file sizes

I just wanted to see if this file size was in range of what other people may be getting. I want to make sure I am getting the smallest file size vs quality video. I have a 30 second video clip with static background and a cube in cube out transition on a image and they are averaging about 55meg in size. at MPEG2 format using FCP compressor settings for 1280x720. (I am using the compressor setting suggested in the download from BSign. Anyone have smaller files on output? thanks

You can try outputting them as h.264 files. You'll get an mov out of compressor, and then using a utility like tsmuxer to change the container format from mov, to ts. If you search the forum for mov and tsmuxer, you'll find the directions for how to export an mov from compressor so that tsmuxer has no problems changing it to a transport stream.

In the very near future, there will be a beta 3.5 firmware release that adds mov/mp4 playback, for any h.264 codec, so no container change will be needed.
