Capacitive Switch

Hallo everybody I'm in search of a simple capacitive switch that will work with the BrightSign GPIO port. We sometimes need to install switches behind glass and we normally used the SCHURTER CSE 15 UG: http://www.datasheetarchive.com/pdf-datasheets/Datasheets-30/DSA-583420.html It was simple and reliable, ran on 5 volts and not too expensive. Unfortunately they stopped producing it... Does anybody know of an alternative that will work with BrightSign players? Thanks, Roland

  Meanwhile I had the idea to use a projected capacitive touchscreen.
  One like the Elo ProCap ThruTouch works through up to 10 or 18 mm glass (depending on the data sheet you read...).
  In the touchscreen FAQ section you write that all Elo screens are supported.
  So this should work, right?

  Yes, it should. Any screen using an HID driver, that doesn't require any software installation or driver installation, will work. WE have custom elo drivers as well.

  I just tested it witch a Zytronic 19" Projected Capacitive Touch.
  I'm positively surprised how well it works!

  Fargo Controls C36PU15NS plus a relay
