Newbie help with Brightauthor error

I've created a test presentation, very simple. But when I go to publish, it tells me it is unable to publish autoplay.xml. I've looked everywhere but don't find the issue listed. Can you help? Thanks, Countinglkp

THis can be a permissions issue. The eventlog will have details about the failure, but try getting rid of the user prefs first...

The UserPreferences.xml can be found in the following locations. You may need to set your computer to show hidden files and folders to find this folder. Please delete the userpreferences file, and then re-open brightauthor.

    Windows Vista

    C:\Users\jsmith\AppData\Local\BrightSign\BrightAuthor\2.0.0.42

    Windows XP

    C:\Documents and Settings\jsmith\Local Settings\Application Data\BrightSign\BrightAuthor\2.0.0.42

    Windows 7

    C:\Users\jsmith\AppData\Local\BrightSign\BrightAuthor\2.0.0.42

Thanks for the quick reply, I tried this, got the same error, but spent some time looking at the events log.  Found my problem, and I feel silly.  I had two of the files I was using as text open on the computer.  Shut them down and viola...

Thank you so much for guiding me to the events log!
