Connecting Roku XS wirelessly with Airport Extreme

I hope someone can help me get this working. I have searched this board and the internet and I have seen others with a similar problem- but none of those solutions have worked. Just got a Roku last night and trying to connect wirelessly with latest generation Airport Extreme. It sees my network but won't connect to it. When I disable security on the Airport Extreme, it connected right away. It updated and I was able to stream. But when I re-enabled WPA/WPA2 Personal, it won't connect again. I addition to updating the Roku, here is what I have already tried:

My Airport was originally on WPA2 Personal so that was the first thing I changed. 
I changed the channel on the AE to channel 11
Did everything in this post-- viewtopic.php?p=234561
Tried entering the MAC address of the Roku
Rebooted cable modem, Airport, and Roku

I haven't tried changing my Airport password yet but will do so. Saw a post where someone got it working when they changed their password to a 10 digit number. I am far from an expert in wireless networks but it seems like these solutions people find are so random. I would think there would be a straightforward answer if people are having the same problem. Thanks in advance!
