Does the timer reset if a user interacts with a HTML5 Page transition?

Was a solution to this found? I have the same need.
User Touch event sends the display to an HTML object (web site). As long as customer is interacting with the touch screen the display will stay on the HTML object (web site). After 60 seconds of no user interacting with the touch screen the display should switch back to the attract loop.
Try this example, it uses a transparent image to "notice" the touches, and if there are no touches after 30 seconds it reloads the page. You could just change the destination to have it do something else.

Hi, I have downloaded the project and after inspecting it, I don't understand how "reload" is being called.. I see your user variable as a countdown but I don't see anything calling the "reload" zone message -- I see the zone message in zone 1 but how is it being called/ where is the call coming from?
I am a bit fuzzy on the use of Variables, but when I preview this project thru BrightAuthor the inactivity timeout doesn't reload the web page.
(I don't have a BS unit on me to test with at the moment)
also, the text zone says 32 in BA but in preview it displays 30 and doesn't countdown (not sure if it's supposed to) -- so this also confuses me that in BA it shows as 32 but in preview displays 30...
Myself and others would benefit from this techinique enormously for projects that need dozens and hundreds of "return to home" inactivity timeouts.
maybe there's a script to add to the published files that could handle all this? Would be great under the Presentation Properties where Media List has this option already (but I have not gotten it this to work either).

Should this example work in the preview window? As a test, I set the countdown to 3. The random quote never refreshes.

Like others, I'm looking to build a screen saver that activates after 2 minutes of inactivity. The first state is a website. An image rotator is the second state.

We have a HD1023 in the store that currently shows our Web site. Shoppers can interact with the Web site. Fill out forms.
We'd like to have a Windows-style screen saver activate when no one is looking at the Web site. The "screen saver" would show images of merchandise. The Marketing department might customize some banners to rotate among the images. When a customer clicks on an image in the image-list, it would return to the home page of the Web site.
I need to be able to transition between an html5 (showing our Website) and an image-list when there's no activity in the html5.
I tried a timer, but the timer just fires at the specified interval.
The sample in this thread appears to be correct (except that it doesn't function in the preview window).
Shouldn't be to hard to do.
Ingredients:
New zone
Timer
Touch Event
1 Zone message command
1 Zone messages event
Create a new zone, that only handles touch events, and that is not going to be visible on the screen.
Size the zone so it covers the entire screen.
The Live Text is empty, so it doesn't show anything.
The timer is set for your timeout, and it will keep reseting, every time the user touches the screen.
Once the display is left idle, the timer gets an opportunity to send a zone message "images".
Add zone message events that transition from the HTML5 back to the Image List. The zone message event will wait for the message "images".
Hopefully I didn't miss anything.

Hi there, i am using xt3 player and i already have the lbar presentation on my screens and i would like to use it in a way that it disappears after afew minutes and the screens go back to full resolution and then the lbar comes back on the screen for afew minutes and the sequence continues in that order. Any help will be appreciated.

Hello again, in short am trying to make a presentation that includes images, videos and text ticker whereby each image and its text ticker will run for 10 seconds then the display goes back full resolution tv (since am using it in a sports bar) for ten minutes followed by the next presentation.https://vimeo.com/240653171

We'd be happy to assist.
Create an Image zone of the necessary size and add a transparent PNG to it. The layer order doesn't matter and you can't control that between image content anyway.
Easier with a Live Text state that left blank :)
