Hi there,

I'm trying to play a 1024x768 h.264 encoded movie on an HD110, firmware 3.8.42. Signal goes from VGA to the VGA input of my projector, which is a Mitsubishi XD470U. This projector's native resolution is 1024x768, and supports XGA60,70,75,85. However, every time, it plays the video with a blue bar on the bottom, probably 20 or 30 pixels high. It also seems to think it's getting a signal of "Mac19", or at least that what it says in the menu. I've tried to force the resolution of the brightsign with an autoplay.brs, stating Videomode 1024x768x60p, but no luck. Also, by unplugging and re-plugging in the VGA cable I've gotten it to work, but can't repeat it reliably. Any thoughts?

Your HD110 doesn't support 1024 at 60hz, only at 75. It looks like your project doesn't like either the resolution setting or the framerate from the BrightSIgn. Does it support 800x600? You can try setting it to 800x600@75hz. You can also try updating to the latest beta firmware and retest.
