I found the FAQ on "What kind of USB GPS receiver can I use with the BrightSign" (http://support.brightsign.biz/entries/21775891-What-kind-of-USB-GPS-receiver-can-I-use-with-the-BrightSign), unfortunately the receiver described is not available in my country. I found this one: Navilock NL-302U SIRF III (http://www.navilock.de/produkte/G_61422/merkmale.html?setLanguage=en). It supports NMEA, but it is shipped with a driver CD, so I am not sure if it will work with BrightSign as I can not install a driver on it. Do you know if this one will work with BrightSign or could you post a list of receivers that are working with BS? Thanks.

Walter Most USB GPS receivers output standard 4800bps NMEA data and will work with the BrightSign unit, though they will likely differ in GPS accuracy.
I took a look at the datasheet for the "recommended unit" and the output (NMEA 4800bps) matches the Navilock unit you linked to, so it will most likely work with the BrightSign unit.
The datasheet for the old "recommended unit" can be found here - http://www.usglobalsat.com/store/download/62/bu353_ds_ug.pdf
