2x HD220 - Large file, syncing scheduled playback

Hi, I am currently setting up two bright sign units at a an art gallery that will be used to sync two video projections. After doing some major futzing to get Windows 7 running w my Mac, I've now got bright author running via Parallels. I also had to get Paragon so that I could format the SD card to NTFS. What I then read in the user guide was that I wouldn't be able to write to an NTFS card via our network. The files we are playing are a lot larger than the 4gb max for a FAT system, and from what I've read it seems as though exFat is not supported. I'll be working through this until I get an answer, but basically I want to know: Is it possible to pre-load all the media on to our SD cards, then set a schedule for that Brightsigns so that the media will play + sync for specific amounts of time. Two videos will be playing for 6 hours a day tues-friday for 2weeks, then two new different videos for the next two weeks etc etc. It would be fantastic to be able to automate this without having to take the sd card out of the unit and preload another presentation. Please, any help with this would be much appreciated. Also, future support for a mac version of this software exFat or Mac OS Extended formats would be hugely helpful. Thanks!

    Hi Nate,

We support only reading from NTFS formatted storage. We do not support writing to NTFS. Yes, you can schedule the presentations to play at different times and publish a schedule to SD card using the Local Storage option. Then you insert SD cards in the units and power them up. When you want to update schedule or replace the files, you need to power the units off, remove SD cards, publish new schedule to SD cards, and power up the units with SD cards. Unfortunately, network updates aren't supported with NTFS cards, because brightsign units can't write to NTFS.
