Cloning Slides

I am making an interactive presentation for a touchscreen, and nearly all screens have several standard touch buttons such as About, Next, Previous, Home and Help. It would save me time if I could make a single slide with these standard buttons, then clone it -- make an exact copy with another name. Then I could edit the copy to use another media file and different destinations for some buttons.

Is there a "Clone" or "Save As" function available (or planned)?

This feature has been requested and is on our todo list.

Glad to hear it (and thanks for your promptness). Do you have a time-indication? I expect to get input from my Domain Experts during January, and we hope to go live in April. Is there any point in waiting?

No, we don't have the exact date yet for when this feature will be implemented.

Copy-Paste feature was implemented in BrightAuthor 3.8. In order to copy the interactive events that are connected to the states, you need to select the "source" and "destination" states by highlighting a rectangle around them using a mouse, then do a right-click and select [Copy]. Then select a new zone or presentation, switch a playlist to "interactive" mode, right-click on the playlist space and select [Paste].if you want to change а content in the "state", double-click on it  and in "Select" menu  choose  your file, then click on the "Update" button. Click on the "OK" button and content will be replaced.
