Synced content and dynamic playlists

I have a bank of 5 monitors that have synced presentations controlled by a master.  One of the items in the presentation is a dynamic playlist.  Entering and exiting the dynamic playlist is unfortunately ugly.  They do not all enter and exit at the same time.  Is there any way to improve this?  Is there a way to pre-cache the dynamic playlist or somesuch?

You can build the presentations so that the master unit sends a udp command before it starts playing a dynamic playlist. The slave units will listen to this udp command and start playing a dynamic playlist simultaneously with the master unit. This will allow you to coordinate a playback between the units. If you want to get a perfect sync, you need to replace the dynamic playlists with the actual media files in all presentations and use the synchronize commands. Please take a look at this faq: http://support.brightsign.biz/entries/21146497-Which-factors-can-affect-a-synchronization-

There are multiple elements in the presentations and we are synchronizing each of them.  Currently we are using synchronize commands and they work fine for everything except the dynamic playlist.  Would the generic UDP commands perform better for the dynamic playlist?

No, they would not, the udp will not do the job better than sync commands. You need to remove the dynamic playlists from presentations, add media files and synchronize actual media files across the units. Brightsigns can't play dynamic playlists in perfect sync.

10 years later,  Is this still acurate information?
