Hence my first attempt to edit autorun.brs didn't work (http://transmieter.nl/FirstAttempt) i went for a "Hello World" approach. From the BrightSignBrightScriptReference.pdf i took some samples. One writing to the screen (i assume PRINT writes to screen) i found on page 15.

Why only those last lines have linenumers beats me. I saved it as autorun.brs. As the output mentioned on the same page i expected to see something on the screen like this

OUTER LOOP
INNER LOOP
INNER LOOP
But no. Post reboot the player starts up, flashes some leds. Waits for a few seconds and reboots. Removing the linnumbers or placing them on all lines doesn't change the behavior.
Yes, I do save as plain text.
I tried extentions both .brs and .bas

Video Mode: 1920x1080x60p (auto)
What do i do wrong?
