I can't get the news ticker to show up. I was using link from CNN for their top stories. I clicked add data feed, pasted in the url and hit validate to make sure it was working. It said it was but when i publish to the SD card and put it in the XD1230 unit, it doesn't show up. The system is connected to my home network so there is nothing that would be blocking the feed. I don't know what else to try. Any suggestions?
It could be that your XD1230 doesn't have internet access. If you enabled the diagnostic web server in setup files, you could enter the ip address of the unit in your web browser. This will bring up the diagnostic web server page. Click on Diagnostics tab and press Run under Network Diagnostics. The unit will run a network test and display the results in your web browser. Make sure that your unit passes the Internet test with OK results.
Fixed.
It was that the unit was never setup in the tools preferences. Once I setup the wired connection everything worked perfectly.
I can get the CNN RSS News feed to work , but not the Fox News feed. It worked a few weeks ago, but not now. Any suggestions? XD232

Do you have the diagnostic web server turned on your unit? If so, you could log into the diag server using the player's IP address, and run a network test. Go to the Diagnostics tab and run network diagnostics. It will tell you if unit is able to connect to internet.
You can also paste the URL to the RSS feed into the Download Speed Test section and press [Speed test] button. The unit will attempt to download the feed and report the results to you.
