Brightsign unit not publishing HTML5 at all

I have an XD1230 with firmware 4.8.114 and just recently updated my BrightAuthor to 3.8.0.41
After the update, it will not publish HTML5 or RSS at all.
For example: I make a random new project for my screen, and make it full screen. I add 1 picture and 1 HTML site I pulled from somewhere online (so I know it's working & not an issue with my code) I put the image to transition to the HTML5 site in 1 second. It won't switch at all, it stays on the image the entire time. If I add an RSS feed, it won't load it at all. I let it sit for 2 hours - nothing. However, when I click  the new "preview" option in the top right (which is why I downloaded the newest version,) it loads it just fine with the site. It also previews the RSS correctly.
I tried publishing both through local network and local storage. It was working just fine before I updated to the new bright author.
I tried re-formatting the SD card. All obvious things like presentations being set to correct unit and whatnot have been double checked. It's not an issue with the RSS code or HTML5, I've pulled RSS feeds that are working from BBC/CNN and other sites that are online and working.
Any insights? Is anyone else having this problem?
