Local File Network with large file

Hi,

We are using Local File Network (LFN) to update the content of our players trough the network and sometimes we have large file to publish.

Since we must use FAT32 in order to work with LFN we can't publish file larger than 4GB

Is there a way to do so?

We tried EXT3 but it doesn't seem to be working. Is this FS is still supported?

Thank you

    Hi Nicolas T,

I have the same issue, I have tried multiple ways to to format the sdcards, it looks like it is not supported anymore. I have tried older firmwares and BrightAUthor versions without succes.

@ Brightsign: Are there any changes made in supporting EXT3 filesystems? The XD and XD2 models can't read EXT3 formatted sdcards anymore.

    Thanks!

    Hi NicolasT,

I have the same issue, I have tried multiple versions of BA and firmwares without any succes. Although I had it working on a XD player some while ago. I can't reproduce it anymore for some reason. I have tried several brands of sdcards and EXT3/4 formatting utilities. If you got it working could you please post it here? I will do also.

    Thanks!

    Hi Nicolas / Erik,

Could you please both provide a DWS log captured whilst the player is attempting to read your Ext3 formatted SD card?

Engineering confirmed that it is still supported and was successfully tested today.

    Thanks,

    Romeo
