Audio Issue - HTML5 Sound Object + HTML5 Video Conflict on XD1030

I'm writing this to assist anyone who may run into this issue themselves. I created a completely self-contained HTML5 project for the XD1030, which included HTML5 videos as well as HTML5 sound objects that were to be triggered separately within the experience. It turns out that when published, the audio from the sound objects and the audio from the HTML5 videos conflicted. I was getting silent HTML5 videos across the board and only ONE sound object playing. So it chose one audio source and neglected the rest. I was unable to have both audio from the HTML5 videos and the HTML5 sound objects. What I had to do was treat my sound objects as MP4 video files. Also, in my situation I ended up just using ONE HTML5 video element, and swapping out the SRC based on the content I needed. Hope this helps someone else!

I have the exact same problem, I've created a game for a touchscreen, works perfectly with 2 different sounds on my browser testing (Chrome of course) but on brightsign (XD1032) it's VERY inconsistent, actually I can't quite figure out the pattern.

I realize this is an old thread but an answer would be very much appreciated...

    Hi Christopher,

The above is a forum post NOT a support ticket.

    >How do I submit my file to you guys without everyone having acces (which I'm not interested in)

This is why submitting a ticket is preferable here as these types of issues are generally content related.

You can submit a support ticket to support@brightsign.biz and I'll (or someone else form the support team) pick it up. You could use www.wetransfer.com to upload the zipped presentation (including assets - video file, images and HTML) and provide the download link for the presentation in your email/support ticket.

Also note that Support Tickets tends to be handled a lot quicker too.

    Regards,

    Romeo
