Compatibilty with windows 10

Hi,

I use BA 4.3.0.16 and i want to know the compatibility with Windows 10.

In fact, when i want to access to local network tab, the software just crashes but with others computers (Windows 7) on the same network, everythings work fine.

Can you confirm that or tell me what to do with Windows 10.

    BrightAuthor 4.3.0.16 works fine on my Windows 10 Pro machine.

    Most likely the problem you are having has to deal with Bonjour.

    A few ways to you can try to get around it:
    1. Disable Bonjour support
    If you can successfully launch BrightAuthor, go to the Edit menu, choose Preferences, and de-select Use Bonjour in the Networking tab.
     
    2. Disable Bonjour support the harder way
    If you cannot successfully launch BrightAuthor, you can manually disable Bonjour in the BrightAuthor UserPreferences.xml file which is located at %localappdata%\BrightSign\BrightAuthor\ve.rs.io.n
    For example, %localappdata%\BrightSign\BrightAuthor\4.1.0.10\UserPreferences.xml
    The line that reads
    <EnableBonjour>True</EnableBonjour>
    should be changed to
    <EnableBonjour>False</EnableBonjour>
     
    3. Install a compatible Bonjour version
    iTunes has the most up-to-date version of Bonjour, so install Bonjour using the iTunes installer from http://itunes.apple.com/
    If none of the above work, please cause the issue again, then submit a support ticket with the BrightAuthor event log.

    Thanks with the tip #2,  it's ok on my Windows 10 computer now.
