I made a presentation that is just an HTML5 widget that points to a URL. I have a touch-screen attached to the USB port of the XD1132. Users can interact with the HTML content but in some cases must enter data (to book a conference room). Does BrightSign have a virtual keyboard widget/script so that my users can enter data?

Lyndon You can use 3rd party virtual keyboards with your html/jscript. We are currently testing a virtual keyboard that will be built into the firmware. SO, any time you need to enter text, it'll be available. That's expected in the next 1 - 2 months in firmware 6.2.
Here's a 3rd party example:

Allen H. Porter Good news that you are building it into the player because it is a bit sluggish in the example above.

Petit Benjamin Any news on virtual keyboard integration and 6.2 firmware?
Is it possible to test a beta version?
That will be a great addition as you don't always have the possibility to change the website to incorporate js plugins.
By the way, is there a way to override distant website html/css/js within brightsign. A bit like greasemonkey scripts on firefox/chrome?

Chris Dotson Any update on this? I would love to see that as part of the firmware as well.

This hasn't been touched since July nor has there been any update to the docs, release notes etc....

David Bird Any update on this?

Allen H. Porter I have seen nothing on it since my original question.

Chris Dotson I haven't seen it in any firmware, but I did eventually for a JS based on screen keyboard that I've used a few times. It works well enough. I would prefer something built in, however.

Andrew Harris I am using the virtual keyboard that Shaun posted. I was wondering if there was a way so I can have a screen saver video playing and then have a touch event take me to the webform. I have tried to put the files into a superstate then have the video click into that but it does not seem to work. Any ideas?

James Can't seem to get the posted versions to work in a presentation created in BrightAuthor connected. Very much needing a virtual keyboard that works with the HTML5 object.
