BrightSign 4K242 and a monitor with the resolution of 1920x1920

Hey there,
hope you can help me with a question concerning to playback a video on the monitor model EIZO FlexScan EV2730Q .http://www.eizo.com/products/flexscan/ev2730q/. This Monitor has a resolution of 1920x1920 pixels. So i wanted to ask is there any possibility to make the video fit to this resolution with any of your 4k decvices. Any zoom in or stretch function. i could render a 4k video with the 1920x1920 video as a square in the middle and black boarders around it, so that i could zoom in properly.
Next question is: the monitor should be synchronized with a projection in public space. the video for the projection should be played by any of your HD 1022 devices with RS 323 interface for switching off and on the projector. The distance between the 2 videosources is about 40m. I thougt about to trigger the start signal or the timecode via wlan and i recognized your wlan modules/applications. Could you recomment me that? and how do they work? do i need an additional wlan-bridge?
Thanks for your support
best Oliver Feigl

    Hi Oliver,

    Regarding 4K242.

If you are trying to play a 1920x1080 video on a 4K player, then the simple answer is yes you can. Easily.

Simply created a1920x1080 presentation and publish to the 4K player.

You may or may not need to check Force Resolution through the Presentation Properties, in the Main tab.

    I hope that helps

    Hello ,

Actually the question was about 1920x1920 resolution and not about 1920x1080.

I do have the same monitor, same player and same question ;-)

Most likely none of the BrightSign products would be able to do 1920x1920.

There is a small chance that if you send it 3840 x 2160 from the player, that the display would accept the video, and just show you the 1920x1920 in the upper left corner of the 3840x2160 window, in which case you could use a 1920x1920 zone in the upper left of the 4K window for playback.

Ok, right now when I connect 4K242 (without any media) to this screen I get strictly nothing. Strangely enough when I connect my player to 1600x1200 monitor it also doesn't detect any signal...

    How does this work than?

Square/Strech displays become more available and are a very interesing option for us as long as playing content wont get too complicated.

1920x1920 square display with integrated BrightSign player: https://www.thebluefin.com/brightsign-builtin-finished/brightsign-22in-finished-2je4j
