Move multiple players

Is there a way to move multiple players to a new group at the same time?

Sometimes I am moving 50 players from one group to another, and it can be time consuming

    why are you moving units from one group to another so often?  There isn't at tool in brightauthor or the websui for moving a large number of units at the same time. 

     

    You're normally moving all of the units from one group to a new group, or are you sometimes moving some to group a, and some to group b, etc..

    This is something that happens to us quite a lot at my workplace.

    Ideally, if we could schedule boxes as well as schedule presentations, that would be ideal.

    E.g. Then I can tell all my boxes to go to the firmware update group at 2am, and move them back to where they previously were at 3am.

    Or If I could schedule 8 boxes to a group between 7pm-8pm, but move them back in individual groups after.

     

    We have XD232's on each room door, but sometimes we want them all to show the same presentation.

    Does the new tagging feature help any? With tagging you can have units in the same group, but still play different content. You can tag content, and create a playlist based on those tags. You can also specify that you only want content that shares a tag with a player to play on that player.

     

    SO, your playlist of 100 files, can play to a group of 10 units, and only content in that playlist that matches a unit tag will play on each unit.
