Brightauthor stopped working

I have an issue currently at a jobsite. I am able to publish the program using my laptop through the local network while connected to wifi.

I need to be able to have the program run from the customers computers and them be able to publish through the network.

They have two pc's , Brightauthor crashes on both of them while trying to publish via local network. As soon as I click the local network tab , a box pops up and says "Brightauthor has stopped working. " A problem ..................... and then the program closes. Ive tried two computers and removing the program and reinstalling. It doesn't matter what program file I try , it has the same result.

FYI, we primarily leave the forum for user-to-user communication. If you have urgent issues requiring BrightSign attention, it's best to submit a support ticket to ensure your request is seen.

This is probably a Bonjour error.

A few ways to you can try to get around it:
    1. Disable Bonjour support
If you can successfully launch BrightAuthor, go to the Edit menu, choose Preferences, and de-select Use Bonjour in the Networking tab.

    2. Disable Bonjour support the harder way
If you cannot successfully launch BrightAuthor, you can manually disable Bonjour in the BrightAuthor UserPreferences.xml file which is located at %localappdata%\BrightSign\BrightAuthor\ve.rs.io.n
    For example, %localappdata%\BrightSign\BrightAuthor\4.1.0.10\UserPreferences.xml
    The line that reads
    <EnableBonjour>True</EnableBonjour>
    should be changed to
    <EnableBonjour>False</EnableBonjour>

    3. Install a compatible Bonjour version
iTunes has the most up-to-date version of Bonjour, so install Bonjour using the iTunes installer from http://itunes.apple.com/

If none of the above work, please cause the issue again, then send us the BrightAuthor event log in a support ticket.
This article describes where to find the event log:
