Send custom header with RSS feed request

I am looking for some way to send a header with an RSS feed for a text feed. The RSS feed I need to use requires an auth header and want to handle this on the BrightSign. I have been looking at using a plugin script to do this but I can't figure out a way to find and update the http request before it is sent.
