This is an odd one. I have a BrightAuthor project where the MP4 video, with AC3 audio, plays at, it appears, 30fps when it should be playing at 25fps. Essentially, the 8min 37sec video plays in about 7 ½ mins. This is on an XT245.
However, the same project plays at normal speed on my Brghtsign player, which is an HD1024.
Found the answer to this - the video in question has 44.1K audio. Changing this to 48K audio made it play at normal speed.
Not sure why it worked on the older player (with version 8 OS) but not with the brand new player (with version 9 OS), but there we go.
Brightsign did send me a beta OS to try, but I never tried it as the above worked, and I didn't fancy putting a beta OS on a client's production player.
