Hello community!! I've been struggling with support to get a reasonable answer about why I'm unable to playback any 8 K content on my new XT2145. We've built a video wall with (2) 4K TVs horizontally mounted one above the other. We have custom content at 3840x4320 for our retail store that I'm trying to playback, but it won't work. I've built a spreadsheet with a half dozen reference videos with every combination of resolutions and settings, and none work.
I can send an HD file, and that works across both TVs. Nothing in the logs seems to be useful - and again - e-mails back and forth to support since March 19th have been unable to provide
Simply:
"Can you please share the exact details for an 8k 60p HEVC Vision file that will play on this device? Or an 8k 29.97 HDR, etc. I need the exact specs. Even if you could provide a project, I could download it for my device. I need to make progress on this issue."
I've tried several different H265 / VP9 - low bitrate / high bitrate - it doesn't matter - nothing plays back. Vision / HDR10 / UHD...
What's the trick? Or is my device broken? Or is the whole line broken? I want to love this device - the specifications are perfect for a dual 4k HDR video wall. But if it doesn't work - it doesn't work. Any help is appreciated.
