Difference between Network pass and Network subscription?

What is the difference between a network pass and a network subscription? I want to purchase a one year subscription for content control of a LS424 but I want to know the difference. thanks

    This is what I thought but I wanted to get it confirmed. The "Network Pass" is a one year "subscription" that does not renew, and the "Network Subscription" is a subscription that renews annually.
