Help with making a player play direct from media card

Hi I have a video set up that is going into a gallery. The gallery has an existing XD1132 Brightsign player which plugs and plays a media card straight into one of the 2 screens. I just bought an identical model from ebay for the second monitor but it doesnt plug and play and has a message saying attempting network recovery? Its probvably a simple fix but it would be great to get  assistance. Many thanks Tessa

    Hello,

Hi Tessa! It sounds like you're dealing with a network recovery issue on your new XD1132 BrightSign player. This can be a bit tricky, but I'll do my best to help you out.

Here are a few steps you can try to resolve the issue:

Check the SD Card: Ensure that the SD card you're using is properly formatted as FAT32. Sometimes, formatting the card again can help.

Factory Reset: Perform a factory reset on the player. You can do this by using the Reset button (you might need a paperclip to press it).

Setup Files: Use BrightAuthor to load the setup files onto the SD card. Insert the SD card into the player, and it should initialize itself. Power down the unit, remove the SD card, and then use BrightAuthor to create and publish your presentation to the SD card.

Network Settings: Ensure that the player is set to "standalone" mode if it's not connected to a network. Sometimes, the player might get set to "network" mode, causing issues.

    Best regards,
    Sarah
