BA Connected won't load any projects

I have BA Connected 1.55.1 and am running Windows 11 on my laptop. Whenever I try to open a project using BA connected or even just open the app it stays on the loading screen for hours if I leave it.

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, updating my computer and with multiple different projects and still nothing. Any ideas how to fix this or what's causing it?

Please delete the BrightAuthor:connected User Preferences and see if it launches.

The BrightAuthor:connected user preferences are located at:

    • Windows %appdata%\BA connected

Note: This is hidden/system folder but you can still paste/type the location into File Explorer, or use Windows-R to run Explorer "%appdata%\BA connected"

    • Mac OS /Users/YOUR_CURRENT_USERNAME/Library/Application Support/BA connected

Note: Library is a hidden/system folder so if you are navigating to it in Finder, you may need to hold down the Option key to see it.

Same thing was happening to me on my Mac.  Brandon's suggestion fixed the issue for me initially, however when I tried to login the following day, the original issue returned.

Same thing happened on my M1 Mac but Brandon's suggestion is not working for me. Deleting the preference regrettably does not change anything for me. Whenever I try to open a project the app it stays on the loading screen for ever.  I highly recommend not to update to BA Connected 1.55.1

We had to get our IT department involved. He had to do something on the back end, and now it works again, but it took a lot of work. I also regret updating.

I was also having this problem and couldn't find a User Preferences. I found Preferences, but deleting that didn't work.

What did seem to work was moving "BA+connected+Setup+1.55.1.exe" from my Downloads folder onto my Desktop and running it from my Desktop.

I hope this helps someone else!
