Got hold of a BrightSign HD1024(OS 8.5.53.2) to learn how to use BrightAuthor. Trying to deploy a webpage to a touch screen to see if i can setup a web-based kiosk. All I got is a blank screen and no wifi light. which lead me to realise there's no built in wifi. and I dun have any ethernet ports I can use. I was able to connect my phone to the BrightSign as a BrightSign Mobile/USB Tether, which gives me internet access—but that is not what I need. I got hold of a Archer T2U Nano AC600 Wireless USB Adapter, but does not seems to detect the adapter at all. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Allen H. Porter BrightSign sells the WD-105 wifi/BT card. Take the 1024 apart and it inserts in a slot on the mainboard. Plumbing is already in place for the antenna connectors. You can buy it retail from other sources as well.
They also sell a cellular USB modem. Needs a data plan. https://www.brightsign.biz/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/BrightSign-mobile-Dec2023.pdf
And you could buy a CradlePoint cellular modem. Also needs a data plan. IBR200/IBR650.
