XT1143 Live TV Input keeps dropping Audio

We have an XT1143 Player with Firmware 6.2.147.9 and the audio keeps dropping after a day on the live tv input. The live tv input is coming froma  Comcast business cable box.

    Ditto from a Cox Contour Hub cable box into the HDMI in and audio out of the SPDF/mini-TOSLink output.

    Does the BrightSign XT1143 external HDMI input pass EDID from the monitor to the source (such as a cable box, BRD, etc)?
