BrightWall Presentation with static IP

Hi,

what is the easiest way to setup a BrightWall Presentation with static IPs?

I just want to produce files for three "standalone units with setup", but with static IP configuration. Just Local Storage.

I have 3 XD1033 connected with a switch. So no DHCP. Also no internet.

Thanks in advance!

Roman

There is a possibility that if you config for DHCP the players would use zeroconf IP addresses.

If you're configuring the units first by publishing Standlone with Setup, going through on-device setup (Series 3 and newer players), or applying configuration files, then you should already be able to set the static IP.  As long as they're in the same subnet, it should work fine.

But as Bright Scripters has noted, it should work fine and be easier to just leave them set for DHCP - if they can't contact a DHCP server they'll time out and get a 169.254.x.x address and they'll be in the same subnet, so they'll communicate.
