Slight Adjustment in Time

Hi,

I'm working on a project that requires me to make a slight adjustment to the time display on my Brightsign XT-1143 player.  I need to adjust the time to match time from an outside source.  I'm using new Date() to get the time from the player.  Is there a way to adjust the time by seconds (or milliseconds).  For example; if i need to increase the time of the player clock by 3 seconds.

    I don't know of a way to do that, but if it would be any help, if you log into the player's diagnostic server, on the main Info page, there is an option to set the time. While it does not offer seconds, there is also an option to "Use Client Time" which will be the time of the computer you are connecting to the player with.

    The player would eventually check in with the defined time server and "fix" the time again.  By default it checks every 12 hours.

    The best way to handle this would be to run a local NTP server and have its time offset by the required 3 seconds.
