Elo Touchscreen- Out of range.

After building and testing a project successfully on a XT1143 player attached to a rented touch screen, my boss bought a new Elo touchscreen to be used for the real project, out of the box this monitor attached to the player gives me a out of range message, while it worked perfectly on the other (unknown) touch screen I tested with.

this is the model of the monitor, any help would be appreciated !

P.S

attaching the player via HDMI to a normal monitor shows an image, and attaching a normal computer to the ELO monitor also shows an image.

its just the player and the touchscreen seems to not accept each other.

    In Presentation properties what is the chosen resolution?  Is Force Resolution checked?  What happens when you uncheck it?  If one of the resolutions below isn’t selected in your presentation it probably will not work.  Also the refresh rate must be supported…not just the resolution.  I am playing with a much older model of this Elo and found the hard way that 720p (1280X720) isn’t supported.

    Unchecking the force resolution did the trick !

    works good now.

    That basically means your Presentation is at a resolution or refresh rate that the Elo doesn't support.  Unchecking Force Resolution just allowed the display and player to negotiate a common resolution/refresh.

     

    Elo makes a great display but the small ones have some quirks.

    If it helps anyone in the future, it was set to 1920x1080x30P , this I didn't change, I couldn't find where to change my hertz configuration but now that it all works its not needed anymore. so force resolution was the only change.

    So the Elo doesn't support 30HZ.  To change that in the future from BrightAuthor - File - Presentation Properties - Main tab - Screen Resolution - pull down list.  Just select 1920 X 1080 x60p.

    I was sure 60 would refer to the frame rate and not the hertz, my mistake

    I had the same issue with a new TD2421 Viewsonic touch screen. After reading your post I killed the force resolution button and now I am all set. Thank You!
