Twitter - BrightAuthor 4.6

I'm hoping someone can help me as I'm not getting anywhere with my reseller. We have a BrightSign LS423 running Firmware Version 7.0.60 and we're having issues adding a Twitter feed. Our environment is quite locked down so the device is on a static IP with no access to the domain. We have a proxy bypass for the static IP so it is allowed to access *.twitter.* However, on our most recent test we logged into the Twitter account through BrightAuthor and published a presentation with a ticker zone as advised. Our internet support advised that there was no attempt to connect to the internet from the static IP address. Has anyone encountered this before? Could it be an issue with the player?

Thanks in advance.

If you log into the player's ip address, and go to the log tab, what errors, if any, are reported by the player?  If diagnostic logging is enabled, you should be able to go to the sd tab, and get the log from the currentlog folder. Both may have errors related to try to get to twitter. I'd assuming the player mgiht have been setup with no dns.

I would recommend updating to firmware 7.1.65 for your tests.
