Local network timezone

Hi everyone,

We have a few BrightSigns installeld with a local file networking setup. They are not connected to the internet, but they are in a network with eachother.

The timezone were we are in is CEST, and we will change from summer to wintertime in a few days. (DST) will the brightsign adapt to the time change?

Thanks in advance!

If the players were set up with the correct Time Zone and Date/Time information, even though they are not connected to the Internet, they should change correctly.

If connected to the Internet, the players only check the time with NTP servers to correct for slight drift, or to set the clock if the players have been without power for a very long time. The Time Zone changes are handled by the Linux OS on board the players based on the Time Zone and Date/Time as set for the player.

Possible exceptions to this may be if your country recently changed the dates in which you switch to and from Daylight Saving Time, and/or you have an older version of Firmware on the player that does not account for the updated changed dates yet.
