Start presentation via remote control

Hi, hope you can help me find a solution,.. we want to do a rally in the company, so each team would be going through several locations where there would be a comercial display with a player playing a video with instructions on an activity. Now, as this is some kind of competition, the teams would be arriving into each location on diferent moments, so having in mind that the displays are non interactive and the players are XT243, is there a way of doing this with the IR remote control? is so, how can it be done? I've only worked with the XT1143 on interactive monitors :s

    It's not clear what the "this" is that you're trying to do.  The player has IR and it also has gpio. Both can be used for interactive input.  What interaction needs to happen? You can make selections with either input method.

    Hi, sorry I did not explain it well.

    Basically the interaction that we need is the play, pause and restart as is going to be a video presentation. I guess the best solution is using IR, but I have no idea what hardware or additional products we need (like the remote control), as for now we just have the player and display.
