Installing BrightAuthor on a USB

We are having trouble setting up BrightAuthor on our work computers. I managed to get our sign up using my personal laptop but bringing it in everytime we need to update signs is a chore. Is there any way to install BrightAuthor on a USB?

My guess based on the regular install is going to be that no, it can not be set up on a USB as a portable App.

With the exception of some BrightWall features that use FFmpeg, BrightAuthor is not terrible processor intensive, so if you have an older laptop or computer that is not in use, that may be an option to consider.

If your issues setting up on work computers is related to IT department permissions, talk to them about your needs, they may also have an older machine available that they can work with you to be able to set up BrightAuthor on.  Most IT departments can be reasonable once you explain what you are trying to do, and will try and help with some form of compromise.

Depending on content management  requirement, use of BrightSign Network could be a good option in such environment.

Can you describe how the content is shown, and hoe often it needs to be updated?
