AC3 audio

I am trying to play an .ac3 audio file with a movie clip (.mpg) file using a Brightsign HD220. Should the player just play the ac3 audio file automatically or do I need to change anything in the settings before authoring the file.

    I've been trying to get to the bottom of this myself for a while. First check you have BrightAuthor v 4.7.1.22 and not .14 or earlier (I've wasted loads of time with this only to discover yesterday that that version didn't support HDx20 players).

    Since resolving that issue I've been able to get MPEG TS video with AC3 5.1 audio play on our HDx20 players, but not H.264/MP4 video with AC3 audio. 

    In the Zone Properties you need to set the audio to 'pass through' for 5.1, possibly not for stereo.

    I'm trying to compile all tests into some sort of helpful post.
